How Long Will You Live?

We don’t know how long we will live, but we do know that certain factors can lengthen or shorten a person’s life. Use the questionnaire below to calculate approximately how many years you will live.

Start with the number 75
1. SEX:
If you are a man, -3
If you are a woman, +4
2. LIFESTYLE:
If you live in a big city (over 2 million), -3
If you live in a small town (under 10,000), +2
If you work at a desk, -3
If you work requires physical activity, +3
If you exercise a lot (5 times a week for
30 minutes), +2
If you live with someone, +5
If you live alone, -1
3. PERSONALITY:
If you sleep more than 10 hours a night, -4
If you sleep less than 5 hours a night, -4
If you are impatient, -3
If you are easygoing, +3
If you are happy, +1
If you are unhappy, -2
4. SUCCESS:
If you earn over $50,000 a year, -2
If you finish college, +1
If you have more than one college
degree +2
If you are 65 years old and still working +3
5. FAMILY BACKGROUND:
If any of your grandparents lived to 85, +2
If all four of your grandparents lived
to 80, +6
If either of your parent died of a
heart attack before 50, -4
If any parent, brother, or sister has
heart disease or diabetes, -3
